Afro-Taíno cooking
We cook with fire, over anafres (traditional charcoal braziers), in the courtyard of the house. The ingredients have Taíno and African roots, and each one comes with its story: where it comes from and how it has been cooked.
It is a conversation about memory and territory that you can taste. Maribel leads it, sometimes together with researchers of Afro-Taíno culture.

Before you come
How does an experience work?
You arrive at the house, we welcome you, we cook together at the long table, and at the end we eat everything we made. There is a cultural introduction to the origin of each dish.
How long does it last?
About three hours.
Do I need to know how to cook?
No. The experiences are for every level; what matters is curiosity.
How many people can take part?
Private hands-on experiences start at 4 people. The seated tasting dinner, with no hands-on part, starts at 2. For events, the house holds up to 50 people seated and 80 standing.
